Reverse Engineering
The process of re-creating a design by analysing the finished
product is known as reverse engineering. Reverse engineering creates
2D/ 3D drawings and wire models from a physical model. The process
involves analyzing the existing product, identifying product components
and their relationships and creating representations of the systems
in another form. Point cloud data of the components are captured
using non-contact scanners (laser or white-light) and CMM type
contact scanners. |
