Modeling for Nozzle Group Injector Assembly
Models
were created for all 75 components of the assembly. The drawings
for both the components and the assembly for the nozzle group
injector system were created using Unigraphics. SKETCH was used
for complete parametric models. The machining model was created
using the WAVE concept, in which the casting model was linked
to the machining model. Any modification in the casting model
would trigger an automatic update to the machining model. The
drawings were created through Interpart expressions, in which
the feature parameters of the model were linked to the drawing
notes. An update on a feature parameter of the model would trigger
an automatic update to the linked drawing note. Complete mating
conditions were specified in the assembly model. Our off-shore
team worked as an extended modeling facility for the customer
with the customer having online access to the project developments
